starting nursery
when did you begin to prepare your nursery? I am 22w and I feel like its early but I know will be here before we know it.
we recently got a public storage unit since we were using the guest room as mainly storage and the closet is cleaned out!
I guess next is closet solutions and then we can move onto furniture?

Re: starting nursery
As soon as all the holiday stuff is put away. We have relatives coming from Italy and they willbe here from 12/30- 1/8. Once they leave, we will take down the holiday decor and begin cleaning out the room. I am 26 weeks now, so about 28 weeks. But, DH is one of those people who gets an idea to do something and works on it until it's done, he'll probably be done cleaning it out and painting withint a week or so.

Re: starting nursery
it all depends on how much you need to do to the room. ordering furniture should be soon for you. if you don't need to do construction of any sort...paint, flooring?, pick bedding/decorations and window treatments, a roller shade is a must, IMO, the closet and that's it!

yes, the room is carpeted and painted (the house is brand new) we just need to move out the old furniture and order new (well im registering for it) and find some sort of window treatment!

Re: starting nursery
I'm 24 weeks and my DH painted the nursery a few weeks ago. We have someone coming in to do the wainscotting and moldings this week. We're going to look into ordering furniture in Jan. (mom's are buying for us) and get carpet installed in Jan./Feb.
