STAR question
I applied for STAR when I purchased my house and got notification that it was approved for the 2012-13 school year.
How does it work? Will my mortgage payment go down or will I get an escrow check at the end of the year?

STAR question
Your taxes will go down, so your escrow will be paying out less. When the bank re-evaluates your escrow (yearly) if there is to much in excess you will get a refund. If the refund is more than a certain amount the bank will adjust your mortgage payment so less is taken out for escrow for the upcoming year.
