Re: St. Thomas here we come!!!!

oh fantastic! Snorkel on Sapphire Beach. you'll have to take a taxi there but there's tons of taxis.

eat at Molly Mallone's in Red Hook yum!!

we took a day trip to the British Virgin Islands to Virgin Gorda, very lovely if you have the time. Also the ferry to St John takes about 15 min, and there's tons of great snorkeling there (Trunk bay!!). We're big snorkelers so that was our target.

We went there for our hm in 07Chat Icon

enjoy the trip!

I agree with Trump Bay. The boat ride to St. John was lovely. I went over 20 years ago (I'm old) with my mother and we went on the mountain top banana daquiri tour. It was fun and the views were gorgeous.

Trunk Bay is absolutely gorgeous, DEFINITELY try to get over there for the day if you can. And then you can have lunch and do some shopping in Cruz Bay, which is where the ferry comes in.

Re: St. Thomas here we come!!!!

I definitely agree with the recommendation for Sapphire Beach. It is absolutely beautiful, and not nearly as busy as a lot of the other areas. Enjoy your trip. It is beautiful there. I will be stopping at St. Thomas on a cruise the end of April and I can't wait!

Re: St. Thomas here we come!!!!

Trunk Bay is a MUST- and make sure you go over by the coral... its so cool they have plaques with information on the ground...so while you are snorkeling you can read all about what you are seeing... AMAZING!!!

I would definately go to one of the BVI as a day trip- I loved the baths... GORGEOUSSSS water!!!

We also did the sky bucket thingy close to sunset which was AMAZING!

External Image thats from pne of the stops that the bus makes so you can get the shot!

External Image another in trunk bay!!

External Image and this is from the top of the sky bucket thingy...

Re: St. Thomas here we come!!!!

We went there this past Nov. We didn't venture out to any restaurants other than at our hotel, except for lunches when we went shopping. We stayed at the Ritz and they offered $100 food credit each day so we used the meal credit there, but they have great restaurants if you want to go there for an evening. Their Restaurants are Bluewater ( which is $$$) or Great Bay Lounge which is more average cost and great food & tapas.

Def do a day trip to St John's Trunk Bay, we loved it!

We got recommedations from someone who has a time share down there for best restaurants. Here were a few I remember, but we never tried them.

Black Beard Castle
Bannana Tree Grille

Hope that helps!

We stayed at the Frenchman's Cove, Marriott timeshare but they have a hotel called Frenchman's Reef which is gorgeous.

We never made it to St. Johns, we were only there for 4 days BUT we did go to Maegan's Bay...O M G it was GORGEOUS! We also missed out on the cruise ships (except the day we were leaving)

How did you like Marriott vacation club..

my parents own in the Marriott Aruba and were thinking of trading in for a vacation to the one in St. Thomas but heard mixed reviews! Curious your thoughts!
