squeaky, annoying a$$ bed

ok- our bed squeaks so much and so loud!!! its driving me crazy- literally, cant even roll over to hit the alarm clock without the bed screaming at me. and hubby rolls all over the place constantly, so i cant sleep from the loud squeaks.

does anyone have any tips on what i can do to shut this thing up???

Is it the frame, or the mattress? If it's the innersprings making noise, all you can do is buy a new mattress. If it's the frame, that's probably fixable.

Tighten all of the screws/bolts/etc on the frame. That's most likely the problem. If that doesn't work, I would go to HD and get some nylon washers, take the bolts off the frame, then put them back with the nylon washers. That will give you a cushion between the sections of wood that are probably the cause of the squeak.

we had that with one of the box springs (it was a split box spring). We replaced just one and the squeek was gone.
Our bed was also wrought iron and we tightened all the bolts and that helped a ton another time.

go to raymour and flannigan and get another bed
