Spur of the moment trip?
Has anyone ever booked a spur of the moment trip? Tax season is ending and I'm itching to get away for a weekend. I've always wanted to do a "take the next flight out" type of trip but I feel like it would cost an arm and a leg. Plus I'm a planner, so maybe I would actually panic. LOL. Has anyone ever done one?

Never have myself but I think you can get the best deals on last minute trips, no? They are looking to fill a flight or fill hotel rooms, so I always thought those were the best deals actually.
Check out some travel sites like expedia or kayak etc and do it!

You can even drive if you want to. We drove to DC last weekend and did so much just staying over one night that we felt like we were away for days and was just nice to leave everything behind!
There will always be things you have to do, but at times it is nice to say screw it all and leave

Spur of the moment trip?
Yes. We did it last week. My husband and I booked a trip Wednesday morning, we left Thursday morning to Bermuda. It was unexpected and awesome.

Re: Spur of the moment trip?
We recently booked a trip to PR 6 days out. The fare wasn't that bad to be honest. It was cheaper than going to FL! I also just booked a flight on Thursday to travel the following day, and the fare was still the regular "wanna get away" fare on Southwest. So it just depends!

Re: Spur of the moment trip?
Thanks for all the ideas ladies! I'm still itching to make a quick getaway but I have something going on every weekend. So annoying. LOL. Maybe I'll have to settle for a daytrip for now!
