spr: First birthday cake... where can i get one on short notice?!?
I want one with a sesame street/cookie monster theme... where can I get a really nice one in a week and a half?!?!
Any recommendations?

Try Dortoni in Levittown. They have a cake designer on staff, so they should be able to do it. I'll wrack my brain to see if I can think of anyone else in case they are not available.

You can try Audreys Bakery in Sayville, even though they are not close to you. They were very good with doing a beautiful Tinkerbell cake for DD's 1st B-day with very short notice. They are also a vendor on here.

They may need 2 weeks notice for Fondant depending on who is working. I just used them for DSs 1st birthday & LOVED their work, but they cannot always rush a fondant cake. Snd they do not deliver to Nassau.
I absolutely loved the cake, and the flavour was incredible.

BJ's does themed cakes and they are only $19.99 for a half sheet but no fondant

You can make one! Its really not as hard as it looks.... and there are youtube videos on how to make cookie monster out of gumpaste - I made one for DD's second bday last week- FM if you want info on how to do it.
ETA NOT as hard lol
