Spotting and cramping?

So I went to the bathroom this morning and when I wiped there was brownish discharge (sorry if TMI) on the tp. I've also been cramping almost every day for the past week. Not terribly, but like really mild AF cramps.

I think I'm around 5-6 weeks, and my first OB appt is next Tuesday. Everything I'm reading says it's either completely normal or it's a sign of a complication. I'm starting to freak out here ladies. Can any of you offer me some insight?

The slight cramping is normal. Just make sure you're staying hydrated because that can contribute to cramping as well. Brown discharge is usually not a worry. I actually had a spot of red blood during my 8th week and flipped out. The dr saw me for a sono right away. They're usually good about that. They were even saying that it was still possibly from implantation at that point which I thought was impossible. I wouldn't hesitate to call the office tomorrow morning though for some peace of mind if you're still getting it and concerned.

I've been spotting too. I read that it was completely normal. As long as its not red. That is when to worry

I had brown spotting and cramping on and off for about two weeks early on with this pregnancy. It's very scary but also very common.

Im currently 29 weeks pregnant. But from week 8 to 10 I spotted with a brown milky discharge as well the dr said it was fine.

Brown blood is old blood, try not to worry to much unless its red with clots. Mild AF-like cramping is also very, very normal at this point. Try to relax and rest if you can.
