Spotting.
Ok, Im trying to not get my hopes up to high but can you ladies tell me what you think. I am currently 13DPO have gotten BFN from 8DPO-13DPO(today). I went to work and felt like AF was on her way. Around 12pm I noticed a tiny, tiny tiny bit of blood when I wipe but nothing on the pad. Of course, I thought AF would arrive full force soon. Around 4pm I went to use the bathroom and nothing..no blood when I wiped and nothing on the liner. It is 6pm now and still, nothing. I have regular cycles 24-28 day cycles but usually get AF around 24 days and when she comes I never spot..she always comes full force. Could this be implantation spotting at 13DPO? My normal leutual phase is 11-13 days. What do you girls think? Do I still have a chance?

Re: Spotting.
they say implantation bleeding is rare and if you are close to the start of your AF then the less likely it is that its implantation....
all that said.....GOOD LUCK

Thats interesting because Im reading up on it and it says its fairly common and that 20-30% of women experience this now Im confused lol. I really thought it was AF but what I found odd was that I went 4 hours later to use the bathroom and no blood...this has NEVER happened to me. When AF shows she makes her appearance. Well, it could still be AF but this is just so odd to me.

Re: Spotting.
I think that since your LP skews to the shorter side, you'd probably get a BFP by now- but you never know.
eta- do you think maybe your cycle is longer this time? Did you O later than normal??

FF confirmed ovulation on CD10 which is about right.

what color was the spotting? If it was brownish, it could be older and from implantation. Strange things happen-- and you are not out til you have your period. good luck!!

Re: Spotting.
This happened 2 me last month. I had never spotted before even b4 being on BCP, I had been off BCP for 3 months with cycle days rangng from 31-24, then 2 days prior to me getting actualt AF i had the same thing. With my situtation i eneded up getting AF, but your sitution could be totally different. Then this month i was due for AF on02/07 had spotting the 7th and 8th, then last night at 9pm(on my B-Day) i got AF! Keep us posted

Aw, I guess I may be getting AF after all. It doesnt seem like its in my favor esp. since the spotting was at 13dpo. I do hope I prove myself wrong I just found this really odd since its never happened to me before but obviously it has never happened to you either and it did and then you got AF. Well, I will keep everyone posted

Re: Spotting.
i didnt read anyone elses responses.. but from my experience... i have the same type of spotting that starts and lasts up to 4 days then turns into AF for 2 days. and back to spotting for 2 days.. and for those first 4 days i dont even need a panty liner its such a tiny amount.. so i learned not to get my hopes up for implantation bleeding. good luck i hope its implantation..

I know some woman do experience spotting before their period. Does this always happen to you? Is it expected? The reason why I find it odd is the fact that it has NEVER happened to me. I never spot before AF. She always comes full force. It never starts then disappears, yknow? This is why this is interesting to me. Of course, there is always a first for everything so AF may very well be on her way..but like I said, weird because this never happens to me.

Re: Spotting.
Theoretically, evey woman that gets PG has implantation bleeding. Most don't see/notice it (because it can be so very faint, or never make it "out"). Its allegedly such a small amount of blood. I have no answers for you but good luck!!!

True. How many DPO were you when you noticed the spotting? What makes me question if its implantation bleeding is the fact that this happened today and its 13DPO for me and I think that might be a little too late for IB but I guess still possible.

ive been through 7 cycles already.. the first 3 were AF full force from day 1 (13-14dpo) the last 4 cycles it is very very tiny spotting for the 4 days and then full force af for 2.... when i spoke with the OB they told me your cycles can change and that if it lasts more then 2 cycles then you can "expect" it to be that way ... So annoying. so now when i see spotting i dont get excited like i did the first 2 times. ... it could really go either way for you!

Re: Spotting.
This is what I think about IB; they say it is semi common, not really that rare. But I wonder how many people are actually looking at the tp every time they wipe waiting for blood? Those are the people trying to get pregnant.
I wonder how many people who aren't trying never notice and have some IB without ever noticing.
For example my best friend accidentally got pregnant, we got our period the same time, which was normal for us. Then after a day and a half of a light period she was like oh weird my period stopped, but didn't think anything of it.
Then I remember her trying to count back to her last period and she asked me and I was like yes we got it this day, remember yours was light? And she was super light headed and dizzy and felt weird and googled and found out about IB, took a test and it was positive.

7 DPO. But my LP's are only ~8-9 days. I just spotted for 2ish days and got AF after 9dpo (would have been 10dpo). This cycle, FWIW, i noticed VERY and i mean ridiculously like inspect the toilet paper kind of very, light pinkish/whitish CM at 11DPO (+HPT at 10DPO). I wonder if that could have been the implantation spotting coming out. I guess we'll never know lol.

AF is still not here so thats good but I can still be out. I have 24-28 day cycles today is CD24 so theres still a chance the witch may show. Boobs and tender and Im having backpain on my lower right side...hopfully thats a good sign. I will continue to keep you guys posted.
ETA: I did not test this AM because I was afraid of another BFN. Im going to try my best to hold out until CD28 if AF doesnt show earlier.
