Spotting

Please someone tell me this is normal. I am almost 10 weeks and today I noticed a little bit of dark brown spotting. I have no cramps or anything. I'm bugging out right now because I miscarried my last pregnancy at 5 weeks. Should I call the doctor?

Re: Spotting

I had some very light spotting at 5 weeks and I freaked out too. I went to the doc and they said everything was fine, and that some spotting was normal, but that I should never hesitate to call if it happened again. If I were you, I would call.

Re: Spotting

I have had spotting a few times throughout this pregnancy and it has been either I was doing too much or I was dehydrated, but call your dr. I always did and it made me feel so much better...

Re: Spotting

I had some spotting with this pregnancy from week 5-6. I called my doc and she said to rest and drink water...to stay hydrated.
It's normal to have some spotting.

I would call my doc if I were you just for peace of mind.

OK, I spoke with the nurse. She said it is prob. OK. She's going to have the doctor review my chart just in case. She also said if it gets any heavier to call back. Of course now everytime I go to the bathroom it's like walking towards the door of doom....

I'll keep everyone posted!!!

Just to keep you updated the doctor called. He didn't seem too concerned, but said if I spot throughout the night to come in for an u/s tomorrow morning. I'm still a little freaked but realize there's nothing else I can do but try and relax.

Re: Spotting

If you have any more spotting you should call the DR for a sono.

if it were me, I would go for a sono tommorow no matter what.

spotting is normal during PG but could also signal an issue and they can put you on bed rest if there is a chance somethings wrong. 10 weeks is kinda far along for spotting. IT could easily be from doing too much. Have you been doing a lot lately? Your body may be telling you to slow down a little. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Spotting

I know how upsetting it can be because I had spotting too and I know I was freaking out! I think it was around 6 weeks and 9 weeks. I have forgotten already. Everything turned out to be fine and I am now 34 weeks pg. I'm sure you will be fine too. Spotting can be perfectly normal. But, I won't tell you not to worry because I know that's impossible!! Keep us updated. Hope that everything turns out to be okay. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Spotting

I had spotting also at 6 weeks and then again at 7 and the doctor said it was ok...as long as it was light and brown.

Re: Spotting

Well I just wanted to keep everyone posted, I'm waiting for a call back from my doctor, but I'm pretty sure I lost it. I had cramping and much heavier bleeding than spotting last night and it was a brighter red.

Needles to say I'm very upset as I've been pregnant twice and have lost both.

I wish all your girls the best of luck and hopefully you'll see me on this board again!!

I am praying that perhaps this is just some unexplained bleeding, and perhaps all will be well when you see your OB today.... Chat Icon
