spitting up and choking
After Ryans last bottle...he seems to be spitting up alot....which is very rare....and he has no instinct to turn his head... every time i turn around hes coughing and then i look at him and hes got spit up everywhere....(even when hes sitting up)
DH fed him last and hes got no patience to wait out burps...but yet he did say he burped once...
What the hell is going on?

Re: spitting up and choking
Definitely possible. Joseph used to do it all the time when I get home from work. My husband would try to hold him off & he would nurse like a madman. After he got sick, I was never sure if he even was able to keep any of it down.

Re: spitting up and choking
yes overeating could be the culprit or eating to fast or jostleing around too much after eating.

I would have to guess overfeeding too. Miranda's spitting up is always worse when I try to coax more food into her so I've stopped doing that.

Re: spitting up and choking
I just read your other post about Ryan coughing. My daughter was coughing last week and spitting up/choking with her bottles. It turns out the mucuos from her nose was running down her throat causing both. I took her to the doctor and an ear infection was causing both. Just wanted to add, that the first time she had an ear infection she did not have a fever. I hope Ryan feels better. A decongestant may help.
