spinoff vacation vs 1st brithday party ... if you went on vacation
where did you go and did your DC truly get to enjoy it at one years old?
I saw one person say they went to disney but i cant see much for them to do there.
I cant imagine a one year old really enjoying anything to much at that age ... but what do i know its my first DC 
either way I wouldnt do a 1st brithday party but i would love to know what a one year old enjoys at that age ...

We took DD to Cape May, NJ with us when she was 1.5. She loved the beach and just being out with us.

I asked this question over the summer. We went to Sesame Place and DD LOVED it. We did a combo friends party with DS and DD in mid August. We will have a family party for DD this week. She will be 2 years old at the end of the month. We had/have a ton of events this summer and fall that this was perfect for us. I think DD has been very happy with everything.

We went to Arizona in the middle of winter (DS was born on 12/21).
He enjoyed being able to not wear a coat and to spend time outside. He also loved going in the kiddie pool.
It was great - DH and I seem to have opposite work schedules or something always going on so for us, it takes going away to have quality time together just the three of us.

That was me! I took my ds for his third birthday, but his little brother was there too of course! Ds2 is just over a year old and he had a ball. I was really surprised the whole time how much fun and how excited my one year old was. He loved the rides, the shows, the characters , the Pools at the hotel etc. Of course my 3 yo had a great time, but there was something about my one year olds excitement that made the trip unforgettable.
That being said, it can be a trip to sesame place or Dutch wonderland too

We took DS on a cruise to Bermuda & he loved it. He was the little mayor of the ship & made friends everywhere we went, the little flirt lol Once in Bermuda we did a beach day & spent the day at the aquarium and he loved it. We all had a blast!

We went on a cruise to the Caribbean. It wasn't a trip for her birthday, it just happened to land on her b-day.
Both kids had a ball.
