lol this post made me lol
my dh has ALWAYS wanted another lil boy..my ds doesnt want to play the sport my dh coaches because hes heavily involved in a competitive level team of another sport, and doesnt have the time to do both...

anyway, we have this argument in my house...

DH: I dont care what you say my daughter is gonna play..."insert dh's sport here"

me: Um, hunny that is the roughest most male dominated sport there is, other men wouldnt even want her there..and what if she wants to be a ballerina?? lol

DH: She will do it, and like it..or you will keep having them until one of them does!!

my BIL is a little like this..he's a great guy, but is so into sport and i know it bothers him that my nephew (he's 15) is a bit of an introvert, not athletic, into video games, etc. But theirs nothing he can do, he cant change his sons mind or force him to like something he does so he accepts the fact that my nephew is not into sports

Men are stupid. Once we found out we were having a boy, DH let me know that gave me a reprieve of trying for a second child immediately. Chat Icon

I never understood that.

During high school and college I was a star soccer player. I would love to have my children play soccer and coach them. My oldest DD hates soccer. I'm certainly not going to push her into the sport just because, kwim? I'm going to let them do what THEY want.

DD is only 2.5, but I think she will like Mixed Martial Arts, just like me, but I won't force her. She happens to have a rough, tom-boy side to her, so I think she'll love it, but you never know.... I guess we'll find out in a few months... Chat Icon Chat Icon
