Spinoff to where will baby sleep....

I was reading the other post about where your baby will sleep when they come home and I saw the suggestion that you should have different sleeping locations for day/night. I think this is a great idea, my question is if we have baby sleep in the bassinet at night but we watch TV in bed do you think this will confuse the baby? or will she adjust because this is the daily routine? I didnt know if the sound of the tv will confuse her.

hmmmm....good question. i didnt think of that. DH has to fall asleep with the TV on or he cant sleep. I have gotten used to it over the years but def. dont need it. Im not sure if it will be good/bad/indifferent for her.

Re: Spinoff to where will baby sleep....

DH and I have never had a TV in our bedroom, nor will we ever, we find the bedroom for sleeping and romantic activities only....oh yeah and a laundry collector Chat Icon
Anyway, as we did with DD when she was born, DS will sleep next to our bed kin the co-sleeper since I will be EBF and then at about 7-8 weeks we will transition him to his crib across the hall. It was an easy transition with DD so we are hoping for the same with DS but I want him near me for the first few weeks anyway.

Re: Spinoff to where will baby sleep....

I wouldn't worry about it. When they are really young, they sleep through everything. My DS slept in our room till 5 months and then I switched him to his crib starting with naps during the day. He has been STTN ever since.
Best advice I can give you, is do what works for you and the baby. What others do, may not work for you.
