Spinoff to the cupcake post . . . school bus parties!
Kind of random, but reading the post regarding cupcakes and school's health food policies makes me wonder if they still have bus parties.
Who remembers those parties on the school bus, when each kid brought in some sort of junk food. They only happened before vacations (if I remember correctly) and were so much fun. I hope these kids aren't missing out on these as well!

I've never heard of that, we didn't do anything like that when I was in school.
Sadly, I thought this was going in a less than innocent direction, so I'm glad to see you were only talking about candy!!

I never saw it! But your post made me laugh!
I'm surprised that other schools didn't have bus parties . . . I thought it was an elementary/middle school standard back in the day. I guess I was a lucky girl!

My husband drives a bus during the summer for his camp and he does this with the kids on Fridays. He brings in loads of stuff and sends them home all sugared up. The kids and parents love him.

We never had these! My bus driver did always have lollipops for us! The bucket was always hidden under a seat, and whoever was sitting in the seat of it, got a prize! LOL (you could not see under teh seats for some reason I guess!)
