Spinoff to my VSD post - pediatric cardiologist
Since it is pretty apparent the twins will need a pediatric cardiologist (both have VSD and A also has pulmonary stenosis) I was wondering who any of you would recommend.
We have an appointment next week at Schneider's Children's Hospital for another Fetal Echo. After the scan we will meet with a pediatric cardiologist. No one ever gave me their name so I'm assuming its an on call ped cardiologist?
Anyway, would appreciate if anyone could give me a recommendation.

Frederick Bierman. He was the head of Pediatric Cardiology at Schneiders..not sure if he still is. He was MY cardiologist and we credit him with figuring out what I had and saving my life. if he's still there...I'd trust him with my life.

we go to Dr. Vetter at St. Francis.
He is soo soo good with DD. And the staff is friendly too.

We went to Pediatric Cardiologists of Long Island in Rosly.
Fortunately, DS turned out to be fine so we only were there for one visit. We saw Dr. Luxenberg and he was GREAT!

I went to this practice when I was younger. I saw dr. Reitman who I believe has retired but took DS to see DR. Levechuck. Great practice. They are affiliated with st. Francis.

we took my DD to Rubin Cooper at LIJ. Got very good recommendations for him and we liked him. Best of luck

We used Stony Brooks Ped Cardiologists with DS. Thomas Biancaniello, MD and their team. They saw DS from 3 weeks till he was 1 year and we loved them. The number 444-4660

I agree! DD had a cardio consult in the hosp because her resting pulse was low. They called in Dr. Vallone from this practice. Everything was fine with DD--he was great and did an echocardiogram on her and all and I found him very personable and reassuring. I was so nervous! My mom is a pediatric office manager and she was thrilled the hosp used this group. They're who she always recommends to her patients. She loves Dr Levchuck, but says they're all great. We're going for a 3 month f/up with them.

I used to work for a peds office and this is who we would always refer to as well! They're fantastic!
