Spinoff to life insurance - Getting it
All this talk of Life Insurance - we really need to get some. We keep meaning to, but now that we have DS, we REALLY need to get some.
How do I go about finding the best companies to look into for coverage? Just google it? We're in Queens, not sure if that matters.

We went through SelectQuote - someone recommended it to DH.
We got the coverage we wanted for a better price than we were quoted for Allstate or MetLife.

Ditto.. I had a policy with MetLife and they were good but SelectQuote (ING Direct) came in better and Suze Orman recommends this company and I think she rocks and wouldn't advertise for a company she didn't stand by. GL!

you can do it online but a person will call you with any company because they will need to verify and record your info and ask additional questions. Very easy!

You fill out your basic info online and a live person contacts you - you still have a regular interview and do all of the blood testing - they just buy "in bulk" so they get better rates (I'm sure there's a better way to explain it).
The company we're insured with is highly rated.

WE HAVE our policy through ING direct; Met life is also a big one..maybe start by checking their site and their policies.
We have the Gerber policy for DS.

Ok cool, I just went on to Select Quote and put in my info. I guess I can ask them what all the options are etc. when they call since I'm pretty clueless
