Do you blowdry/iron your hair every time you wash it?

I did it everytime a while ago and then my hair started breaking from the damage Now I do it usually twice a week, I just wish I liked it better just air dried. Depending on how it dries by itself, it can look really cute or

Since blowing it out is such a pain in the butt (it's a 25 minute job since I have curly hair), I try to do it twice a week. But I have found a few secrets that help. I don't put conditioner on the top half while in the shower, I wrap it up at night and I try to wear it off my face so I'm not tempted to run my fingers through it. I don't know how people do it every day but maybe they have a different hair texture that doesn't require holding the brush so taught. I don't know.

What I have noticed is that my scalp does NOT like it and when it starts to get flaky, I lay off. I also don't do it from May to October (no sense...the curls just fight back!)

I blow dry and iron about 3 times per week and add its a ten before drying. I iron quickly just to finish my hair bc its naturally straight. I don't really notice a difference if I blow dry everyday vs not as often...its the time and effort that bothers me

My hair doesn't see a dryer or iron during the summer. During the other 8/9 months, I blow it after every wash - which is about 2x a week.

I'd say I blow my hair out a minimum of 4x's a week. If I wash it, I blow it out. (It's not uncommon for me to blow it out twice in a day if I'm going out for the evening.)

I use to blow dry evertime I washed ( everyday) but it wasn't always a full blwo out with a round brush. I would let it partially air dry & then flip it over to dry the roots & fluff it up.

Lately, I have been able to air dry though & its not super -flat. I'm not sure why, but I'm going with it.

I usually blowdry every time - sometimes I'll skip the weekends. I don't ever flat iron it though.

During the week for work, I usually put it in a pony tail or wear it out curly. I only blow out my hair and flat iron on the weekends.

It depends - if I'm feeling lazy I will let it air dry and let it stay wavy.
If I have the time, I'll blow dry and straighten with a round brush to give some bounce to my hair.
I've never used a flat iron - I use permanent color so I am afraid of damaging my hair too much.

I blow dry then iron almost everytime I wash my hair, which is every other day. I don't really need to use a brush to blow it out. If I use the dryer, it dries fairly straight, and then I just need to use the iron to smooth it out.

blow dry at least 4-5 times a week. otherwise, a little spray gel and let it air dry..

i used to flat iron EVERY day. i still do on occasion.

I let my hair dry naturally almost every time I wash it. It only gets blown-dry or straight ironed if we're going to a wedding or something.

I'm a wash-and-go kind of girl. I throw gel in my hair and let it dry while I run out the door.

I let it dry naturally whenever I can but my hair takes forever to dry so I often have to blow dry it at least partially to get out of the house faster. I hate not washing my hair but I also hate blowing it dry.

I wash, blow dry & iron my hair every day I shower (which is every day except for the random lazy weekend day). IT SUCKS but I have no choice (when I don't have JHS).

My hair looks god awful air dried. I mean terrible- limp, scraggly, shapeless. So if I don't blow dry it, I tie it back- in a bun, a ponytail, braids, or just scrunch it with gel. But 75% of the time- I blow dry it.

I blow dry everyday. I dont use a straightening iron or curling iron. I wish I liked my hair when it air dried, but it's frizzy and unruly.

The only time I dont blow dry, is if I am going to bed, or not going out of the house, or going to pool/beach, where it's gonna get wet anyway

I only discovered ironing a year ago. Before that it was air dry after every shower with my hair a mess every day, put into a ponytail. I only used to blow dry if going out. But that took forever because I have a lot of very thick hair.

Now after I shower I let my hair air dry completely then just iron while sitting in front of the tv. I love how it comes out ironed! No frizz! How much damage does this cause?

I've wondered about this, I guess since you are letting it air dry it cuts down on some of the damage since you aren't doubling up with the hair blower too. That's just a guess though! Makes sense!

ETA: Make sure you use a heat protectant though!

Everyday. I have to bcmy hair is totally flat the next day, I have fine hair. I wish I would go a cple days w/o blowing it!
