Spinoff to Children's menus..."Weird" stuff kids eat...
My kid would eat_____before eating_____.
Abby would eat lettuce before macs and cheese.
Friggin lettuce - the one food she likes has no calories or nutrition.

My kid would eat any and all veggies before eating anything else on her plate whether it be mac n cheese, raviolis, meatloaf, etc.
She LOVES veggies and oddly, isn't into fresh fruit. Sweet, delicious fresh fruit........no interest but give her a plate of peas and she's in heaven. She doesn't get that from me that's for sure!

My DS would eat salmon before even attempting to try any type of fruit. 
Give him any pureed fruit and he will go to town... give him a piece of fruit in it's natural state he won't even touch it! 
Oh yeah... and he will actually use his food to scoop ketchup into his mouth. Doesn't want to eat a french fry... just wants to use it as a vehicle to get the ketchup in his face!

My kids eat almost everything.
Jordan will eat anything but a tomato(but will eat salsa etc)
Peyton will eat anything except eggs.
AND I DO MEAN ANYTHING!
Weird stuff? Both girls will eat lemons with the rind still on

Veggies over ANYTHING.
I need to feed her dinner in courses, because if I gave her the veggies WITH her main dinner, she would only eat the veggies.
Oh, and I mentioned in the other thread, that Samantha LOVES pickled capers....weirdo! LOL

My DD loves Broccoli with garlic and oil. She eats it by the handful. Chooses it over most foods. Weird!
She also loves lettuce.
Also could make a meal out of condiments. She LOVES sour cream, ketchup, sweet and sour sauce, duck sauce, etc. I have to hide the condiments so she will actually eat real food!
Not so weird..she loves pasta anyday.

Jen, we are having the exact same problem  I bought the frozen ones and thawed them in the microwave. Put a few dollops of whipped cream on them. She seemed appreciative, but I know they don't taste the same

Mine too!! Somebody told me Costco has imported (Argentina) blueberries at a reasonable price, but I hate to buy food that is imported if it's grown in the US. I'm trying to teach DD about things being in season.

DS is the same way, we have the hide the veggies at dinner to get him to eat some meat. Today at lunch he was stealing my roasted kale!

DS will eat the Parmesan cheese out of a bowl before eating the pasta. If it is on the table, he refuses to eat anything else and will spoon it out like it is the greatest treat ever.
