Spinoff to blanket Q - when did your child start using a pillow?
Right now (because of only having AC in our bedroom), Ann is sleeping in the travel PNP (which she is really too big for now!) but I was thinking when she goes back to her room and her crib (in the fall I guess) we'd give her a pillow.
She's almost 13 months now - is 15-16 months too early for a pillow? I'll add that she's always used a blanket ...
I guess my question is more if there are actual official guidelines - LOL (because I know there will be opinions from people who are easy going, laid back, old fashioned or conservative  ).

I think it's around 2. It might be 1.5-2.
My DD is 19.5 mths now and I dont think it would be dangerous for her, but she also shows no signs of needing or wanting one.

Around 3 months when he started sleeping in his crib. He loves it.

I fold up a soft blanket several times to make a pillow, but it is crocheted so has lots of holes. My doctor told me not to use one at 12 months (or for a while), but if I did use one, to use a small, very firm one (think hard sofa pillow). I tried that, but DS pulled it to the edge of the crib, and stood on it and started climbing out. It gave him the extra three inches to really get over, so I am not going to use one until the ped. says I can do a soft one.

He got a pillow around 6 months. He had been congested & the Dr recommended keeping him elevated. We tried the blanket under the mattress but it did not work. We gave him a nice firm pillow & he has slept on it ever since. We have had no issues at all with it

We only started Lily with a pillow when she moved to a bed. Not because of any particular reason....I just never thought of giving her a pillow in the crib!

about 15 months. One of my daughters sleeps on top of the pillow

Kaydyn didn't have a pillow until recently when she took one of the decorative pillows off the couch and went to sleep with it. She is 2.5.

I was actually going to post this question today! DS has been folding up a blanket to use as a pillow. Is tee a specific toddler pillow or brand anyone recommends?
