spinoff sliding glass door question

where is yours located? The home we are buying has it in the kitchen, which is right next to the dining room. Most of the homes we have visited had them in the dining room . I wish we had the money to move the door into the dining room

i love sliders off of a kitchen.

in my parent's old house in NY and in DH's parent's house the sliders are off of the kitchen and there is a deck with a patio tables and the bbq. i love that set up - that way if you eat outside or bbq everything is right off the kitchen.

in my house i have sliders off of the downstairs living area - so to go sit outside to have coffee or to bbq you walk through the dining room then into the more formal living room which is a little weird. it's nice to sit in the living room and have the view of outside though.

i also have sliders in my bedroom. again, a little weird but it gives a nice view and it makes the small room feel more open.

my favorite though is sliders off of a kitchen. for whatever reason i haven't really seen that in any floorplans down here in FL.

mine are in the kitchen, but thats prolly bc i live in the smallest house in the world and dont have a dining room

Mine was in the kitchen which took away too much wall space where we wanted a pantry. We recently removed it and put in a french door.....best decision ever!

Mine are off the kitchen and in the living room.

Ours is off of our den. We want to also put one in our dining room to let more light in there.

Ours is prob one of the more "stranger" places.... We only have one and its in our bedroom and leads out to a tiny balcony! We hardly ever go out there, and I never see any of our other condo neighbors out on theirs... What I like about it though is that on those cool nights, we can leave that door wide open... Its such a diff feeling sleeping that way instead of havng just an open window

We have one near our dining table in our great room, we actually had two-one on either side if the fireplace in the great room but we took one out and put in a large window. We have a back door in the kitchen that goes out to the deck as well.

Ours is our back door entrance and is off of the laundry room/pantry.
