spinoff on baby names
For those of you who have selected the name two questions:
1) did you tell people?
2) when you refer to the bundle of love in your belly do you use the name?
To answer my own question. We are not telling anyone the name chosen. And I do not feel right using its name until (s)he is here.

We are not telling anyone. People know the sex was enough, we want the name to be a surprise.
When we are alone, we refer to her by her name or nicknames we have for her.

We have chosen our names but we aren't telling anyone. We won't find out what we are having. I know its suspenseful, but its fun to see our parents try to guess what we are having.

We told people what we picked for the first name (since it is same as DH's) but are keeping the middle name a secret.
Sometimes I refer to him by name, but usually, no. It doesn't quite feel right yet!

We told people the names we chose right from the start.
DH and I wanted to eliminate anyone chiming in with their opinions. They can love 'em or hate 'em, but it's been decided.

well, we arent finding out the sex. so we dont call the baby anything other than "the baby" I havent started talking to it yet
and yes we told people the names we have picked out

We do not know what we are having so we had no problem sharing the names. If we knew what we were having, then we would have kept the names to ourselves in order to keep some sort of surprise.

We started throwing names around and had it down to two and we started telling people our "finalists". Now, we pretty much know the name and refer to DD by that name as do most people around us.
Heaven help us if we decide to change her name!!

We generally don't tell anyone 's name. Although I have told about 3 people.
I call her by her name in my mind, but it makes me too nervous to say t out loud. Every so often DH has said it, but we usually have random nicknames for her!

We tell everyone our DD's name and we call her by it all the time. She already has multiple nicknames/pet names! It has helped me to feel even more connected to her.

We tell people the name. It really bothers me when people use it to refer to him, though- he isn't here yet & it makes me uncomfortable, but my mother & husband still do

Everyone knows her name and we refer to her as 'Audrina'. I did the same with DD#1 when we decided on her name, before that she was Bean.

Ditto. I have told a few select people the girl name we have chosen. But I have not told people in general, even if they have asked.

We are not finding out what and we are not telling anyone the names (OK, well I cracked and told 2 of mygirlfriends at work). We do not refer to by name either. Feel odd doing that before baby gets here.

We aren't telling our potential names... I hate hearing opinions.
DH thought of the following to tell people in a very serious voice when they ask us what names we are considering:
- William Joel
- David Matthews
- Joan Jett
- Jennifer Anista
There were more, that were funnier, but my preggo brain can't remember them!

We're telling people the names...they're both versions of the other (male/female) and have a similar nickname. We use the nickname when referring to the baby.

I told everyone the name, some of my friends didn't like it but I couldn't give a toss that they didn't like it.
I loved calling my bump Baby Noah. I really loved it!
