Spinoff: Has anybody had jury duty during PG?
I'm on call starting Monday and am wondering how they'd keep me. Would they stop the trial every 30 minutes for me to pee? Can I have a bottle of water with me in the jury box? What about a butt cushion? My butt goes numb quickly now.
Anybody know?

I got a jury summons in the mail for me to begin calling on Monday. I am 38 weeks. MY doctor wrote a note that I had to send back with the summons stating I am unable to perform jury duty due to being pregnant and so far along.

I have a feeling if you show up and for some reason you do get called, they will excuse you due to pregnancy and consider that you have served.

i went at about 16 weeks or so. i stayed for about 3 hrs before asking if there was anything they could do bc i was pregnant and didnt want to have to sit around waiting for another 3 hrs. they gave me a letter saying that i have served. i dont have to go back for another 6 yrs or something like that.
i did ask my dr for a note, but bc i was only 16 wks she said she would write it if i really really felt i couldnt do it. (my sister actually served at 8 months preggo and was fine so i felt guilty sending in the note...plus with the note you have to go back within 2 yrs again!!).
honestly, it wasnt bad at all. i brought water and a book and at least i know that i am exempt for a long time. if you do get called i would just show up, wait a little while and then go to the desk and ask when they think your number will be called bc you are pregnant and uncomfortable...im sure they will write you the note and excuse you!!

I just finished 5 days of Jury Duty, but I am only 14 weeks. I didn't even think of getting out of it bc I was preggo. There was another girl on my case that was also pregnant.

I am also on call starting Monday. I was wondering the same thing.
