spinoff: another name question regarding an "old" name
i would like to honor my mom, by using her name in some form for one of my babies.
her name is really not in-style at all and i think it would be really tough on a child to have.
it's phyllis, "modernized" from filomena.
any suggestions of "f" names that could be cool, besides fiona.

I never hear it in the states, but Philipa (Just like Phillip, but with an a on the end) is pretty common in the UK

We wanted to honor Dh's mom who passed away, but her name was "old" sounding too, so we made it the middle name: Lily Miriam.
