she brought up something that is a really good question:

have any of you had OPK's NOT match-up with EWCM at all? I know EWCM is only a rough sign that O is coming within 3 days or so, while OPK + should be 12-36 hours....

But have any of you, for example, got a + and then 4 days later got EWCM... or some other scenario suggesting the + and CM are not in sync at all?

I'm hoping I can use CM alone eventually to track my O....

well I didn't use OPk's this months but here is my story
I got EWCM on Saturday and then O pain on Tuesday So If I went by the EWCM I should have seen AF on Friday or Saturday... SHe is still not here.. Although I started spotting today.. Which is much more inline wth me Oing on the Tuesday when I had the pain. SO I guess for me CM was wrong.

This past month I was "wet" but no real EWCM during O. I actually got A LOT of EWCM on around 3-5 DPO...that was strange....

From what I understand EWCM is fertile CM so you should BD because it helps the sperm travel but EWCM is not when you actually O. You O once the EWCM is dried up. Something along those lines. So most people would O 2-4 days after seeing EWCM.

I can't answer your question with a fact, but I wil tell you my last experiance. I got ewcm on a Friday and Saturday. Then I got a positive opk on Sunday, but I still think I o'ed on Tuesday (2 days after the positive opk) because I didn't get my AF until 20 days after the +opk. Therefore, even though I had the ewcm and +opk on sunday, I think I o'd after it was all dried up. If I o'd Tuesday that would mean I got my AF 16 days after I o'd.

Moral of the story is, I guess you can't completley go by EWCM, because I think my body makes it days before I actually O.

Sorry to be so confusing. I think this month as soon as I see it I'm just gonna bed every other day.

thanks! that is very useful info. Last thing I want us to do is stop the high rotation BD'ing too early during this cycle! We were going to BD every other day until the night I got a OPK+... when we would BD one more time, and then allow ourselves to return to a more relaxed and spontaneous schedule... which from your prior experience, may mean I miss the boat

we'll extend the BD schedule another 3 days or so

I think we're BDing every other day from CD10 on, I usually O around CD14 or 15 so we'll BD 10 12 14 ,if I get my first peak on 14, then 15 too...

yep, that's what we'll do too! I'm on CD9. I believe I O around CD12 or CD13... so we started every other day BD on CD8.... I expect EWCM either CD10 or CD11. Likely a + OPK on CD11 or 12.... when we'll BD every day until about CD15.... then pass out
