Spin off to car seat on plane
Do I HAVE to put DD (one month shy of 3) in a car seat on the airplane to FL?

No - but we used the CARES thing at that age. I felt that with turbulence, she could still fly out of the lap belt otherwise.

This! We rented CARES harnesses for all three kids. 1 three year old and 2 five year olds last year because of the turbulence. They can still fly out of their seats even with the lap belt. Plus, I wanted something to at least help keep them seated. Otherwise they would have tried to get out of their seats and run around.
