Spin Off to Barron Trump post
Ok, if Barron does have special needs, do you think that his parents should disclose this or no? It reminds me of John Travolta's son. He clearly had special needs/autism, but his parents never disclosed this publicly until after his death.

I think Barron's health should be private. It has no bearing or effect on the country. However, it could be a huge platform for Melania to raise awareness for and to help others with the same issue.

I don't think they owe the public any medical info on their child. However, there's nothing to be ashamed of and it would be great to raise awareness, at the very least uphold existing federal laws created to provide special needs kids a proper education.

totally agree, and Rosie O'Donnell should be ashamed of what she did and said!!!! She is a disgrace. If he does, it is NOT her place to make it public.

That's what I think. Of course, no one is entitled to know his health status. However, is it stigma or privacy that prevented John Travolta from disclosing this about his son?
If the trump boy does have autism or another developmental disorder, Melania has a massive potential platform to speak out, raise awareness and advocate for our disabled kids!

It's a tough question because Barron is a child and deserves privacy, but it would be amazing in terms of raising awareness and advocacy.
I think with regard to John Travolta, it had to do with Scientology and their lack of belief in conditions like autism or whatever condition Jett had.

Yeah but John is still a scientologist I believe but they did admit Jett had autism after his death.

If they are keeping it quiet to protect his privacy, I can completely understand and respect that. If they're keeping it quiet because they're ashamed it'll make them look less "perfect", then that would be disgusting.
