Sperm analysis
How do you go about getting that done? DH just makes an appointment with a Urologist?
hmmm is the the only word with a vowel that "an" does not sound right in front of!

same thing with us. My DH dropped off his sample there, and we got the results back within a week.

No... but my my Dr does do infertility testing. I actually called after I posted this... I am going in Monday for them to do bloodwork, when they have the results DH and I will go in and they are gonna give him an RX for an SA and discuss the next steps for me.
I feel like I am jumping the gun... but its now been 9 months and I thought me cycles were getting regular... this last one was back to 40 days again. I just feel so defeated.

My ob/gyn gave me an rx for dh to get it done. I got a sample cup from them as well. Made an appt for him at stonybrook andrology (in SB hospital) - dropped it off and they faxed results to my dr within a few days. The results werent good so they suggested he see a urologist that specializes in male infertility, he made an appt for that and the 1st thing he referred dh for was bloodwork and a repeat SA.
You're not jumping the gun at all. A SA is the least invasive test you can do and a great way to start, if you feel like its time to be proactive.

I got a script from my DR and DH made an appt and brought the sample to ENZO lab in farmingdale. Got the results in about a week.

Gyno gave dh a script just make sure you verify with your lab if you are using lab corp or quest because not all of them will take the sample. DH made love to the cup as we call it and when he went to drop it off lab corp in Islip wouldnt take it so he had to do it again and go to a different place. Plus your dh will have to make love to the cup within an hour of dropping the test off.

My husband had to have it done twice. He went to a urologist and they sent him to a lab to have it done. Good Luck!
