Sperm Analysis
Hi everyone. I'm in my late 30's and DH mid 40's. We are TTC baby #1 and after 7 months with no success I met with my Dr. yesterday and she suggested several steps. First is to have DH's sperm analyzed. My ? is if his sperm comes back an issue, what do they do for him? The receptionist at the Urologist office was not very helpful. TIA!

It really depends on what the problem might be. I know that a lot of times, all the man has to do is take certain vitamins if his counts are low; a fix could be as easy as that. Or if they think that the motility is a problem, they might suggest that you go through IUI so the sperm don't have to swim far to get where they're going.
Oh, and to be technical, they don't just test the "sperm" - they do a semen analysis because the volume of the semen (how much is in the cup!) is one of the things they're looking for.
