I wasnt trying to embarrass anyone. My original thread was nice IMO. And One of like 4-5 that have been posted in recent days, so Im not gonna be the one who is told to RELAX....And again IT WASNT ABOUT spelling.....

I was trying to point it out so they stop embarrassing themselves.

Im not the one who turned this into a 3 ring circus...Thats left to the others on the board as usual.

Maybe you shouldn't have posted the specific mistakes. I'm sure those who made those mistakes on the pregnancy board posts didn't think your post was nice either.

If you wanted to do it in a nicer way, start a thread with some websites for those looking to improve their writing.

who said anything about the pregnancy board??? Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

You were pointing out specific mistakes that you found annoying. Those specific mistakes were only on the pregnancy board.

Did you go searching for the mistakes? REALLY?

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

They were not all from the PG board though, not at all.....Some were from LIF, some from emails from work...

The ones you pointed out previously..Where were those from?

no from previous posts you have made about spelling and grammar issues?

Was wondering about those actually.

I remember you posting on a few DEBG has posted over the years of grammar things that annoyed her.... you mentioned ones that annoyed you then...

I find it flattering its just MY thread you have now found to be worthy of all this "research"

And if you looked them up , you would know your not only wrong, they were not from PG, but also, maybe you need to find a hobby if your researching threads that deeply....

now I would love to continue about the semantics of it all, but Im tired and this has taken a freaky stalkerish turn to it so Im going to bed..

Feel free to carry on without me....

i find it a bit hypocritical and immature to start a thread about how the misuse of certain words annoys you yet when you are called out in re: to your (yes, your) mistakes you become defensive.

Re: Spelling (WORD) Tips

I cringe when I see the same people making the same mistakes over and over again.

I think that the difference between "then" and "than" is very basic, as is the difference between "their," "there" and "they're." I've caught myself using the wrong word after I've typed too quickly, but it is certainly not every single time I use those words.

The difference between "your" and "you're" should be apparent just from looking at the words.

ETA: According to some websites, my use of quotation marks above may not have been necessary. At least I looked it up.
