Speeding down a cul de sac

We live in a cul de sac and never ceases to amaze me that even on the small block the people at the end of the street speed. I'm not just talking about their 20 something year old kids or teens. The parents are the worse.
There's a big turn over in my area of younger families so when we moved in our neighbors across the street moved in as well with kids. We are always crossing the street talking and the people at the end fly by us. Even when I put DS on the bus after they are ok to go they can still go fast.

I am somewhat friendly with them. Usually a smile or wave when I see them or small chit chat, but they're older and hardly around.
My bus driver suggested getting one of those "slow for kids" type signs on the lawn, but I don't know if I want to be that mom either. LOL

Tell them that ANOTHER person was driving very fast and it scares you.

Tell that to everyone on your cul de sac.

It's the nicest way to get people to think.

The worst people in my neighborhood are the stay at home moms with small kids themselves. They are always RUSHING and aren't looking.

It's so bad that a neighbor started calling local police & reporting license plates. I don't know how well THAT worked. They have a small dog that the cars ZOOM by too close.
