Re: Cul de Sac

It's a street that ends in a semi circle at one end. Does that make sense?

Re: Cul de Sac

Just so you know those houses are usually seen as much more desirable. They go faster and because of the cul de sac location will usually go for more $$$ than the same house on a through street.

I know of three people who had houses on a cul-de-sac and they all had offers the same day as their first open house. Actually, in one case, the first person who looked at it took the tour and offered my friend above asking price. She had her offer of first refusal within 1/2 of her open houseChat Icon

Re: Cul de Sac

Sometimes a realtor will put in the listing that the house is on a Cul de Sac if it sits on a dead end street (even without the little circle thing at the end).

Kinda false advertising in a way. But dead end streets are usually more desireable due to the lack of traffic that passes through.

Re: Cul de Sac

We live on a regulr dead end (and are the last house) it was listed as a "cul de sac' even though technically it isn't. It is a major selling point to someone who does not want to live in a high traffic area.

Re: Cul de Sac

we live on a cul de sac...it's a circular dead end with 3-5 houses in it. WE love it. Each house has kids (besides ours) and they all play out in it without worry that cars will zip through! Very quiet too!
