Spears Spinoff- Lynn (the mom)
What do you think (if anything) of Lynn Spears?
In the back of my head, I keep thinking well if Lynn can raise those kids (brittany's boys), they'll be fine. She seems to be a down to earth person.
But then I see the mom who encouraged/pushed her kids to celebrity at such a young age. Brittany has been working since was a little girl.
I really hope all these kids turn out ok, but the fact of the matter is kids of celebrity parents have the deck stacked against them to begin with. Add all this family's drama to it, and you just don't know.

I blame the mother, she was more concerned with her meal ticket then the well being of her children. I sure she is kicking herself in the azz thinking about the "what ifs" and she is now to late. If she would have worried then about her 17 yr old daughter out, on tour, hanging out until all hours she may have been able to prevent this. And I know Lynn didnt make her daughter (JL) get PG but you know what, if she was being more "motherly" and less of a "friend" "manager" type she may have been able to avoid this.
Just my 2 cents.

I wrote this before but I'll say it again...she gave up parenting the minute she let Jamie Lynn live with her boyfriend. What parent in their right mind allows a 16 year old to LIVE with their boyfriend? Lynn Spears is living in some sort of fantasy land and I have no idea how she thinks she's being a parent to her daughter by allowing her to live away from home, on her own, as a 16 year old, no matter how mature her daughter seems to be or how much money she makes.

i was GOING to say that i always though Lynn seemed like a down-to-earth mother, and i also think that britney as a child truly wanted all of the fame
but, i also had NO idea that Jamie-Lynn lived w her boyfriend?!

I really disagree with this. Lynn raised Britney and we can all see what a bang-up job she's done there. I don't see how she's at all demonstrated that she has good parenting skills. She might be a better mother than Britney is, but that's not saying much.

Couldn't agree more...though I never cared for this woman. Imo, she pushed her daughter (Britney) to be the cash cow for the family...and when Britney went off the deep end, she focused on Jamie.

i'm not really sure how true the live-in situation story is. i've been reading a lot about how the boyfriend was a "fixture" at the condo jamie lynn and lynn lived in -- it's not clear that he LIVED there.

Lynn as now joined ranks with Dina Lohan in my opinion
the living situation of her 16yr old daughter is the straw that broke the camel's back for me
...and the fact that she was all smiles at Brit;s wedding to Kfed -- there her daughter is -- ina dress that looks like lingerie , marrying a guy she propose to on a plane, who left his pregnant girlfriend....
she should've stepped in a longtime ago
