Speaking of protesters... does anyone know what is going on with Kohl's?
I have a huge box truck for 2 weeks now driving in my parking lot at work saying "shame on you Kohls" and then there where these guys handing out fliers at the one by my house but really it made no kinda since.

I've been wanting to post this also.
I saw a sign at the Setauket location saying something about "ruining our neighborhood".
I couldn't find anything on line.
I'm guessing a Union issue.

they are doing non-union renovations
the activity sounds to me like the union is trying to appeal to the public not to shop there because of non-union work.

Not only a union issue but the particular shop they hired has a bad history here on the island--underpaying employees and underbidding on jobs to take them away from other shops. I can tell you my union DH got the memo and wouldn't step foot in the store. We support our own

Same here. I won't shop at a place when I KNOW that they take advantage of the men that work for them by paying them a quarter of what they are worth, compromising their safety or compromising the publics safety by hiring underqualified laborers to do electrical or mechanical work.
ETA: Even though I am a union wife, it is less about the work being NON UNION than about the shop being KNOWN for their poor treatment of their employees and shoddy work.
