Spaghetti strap tanks with a bra....

When wearing a spaghetti strap tank with a bra is it tacky or inevitable to see your bra straps showing?

I dont like it. So, I don't wear tank tops with thin straps. If I am wearing a dress with thinner straps my mom will put this snap thing on the inside and I close my bra strap in there so it doesnt move. I am also a fan of the clear straps - NOT b/c they look good when they show, still hate them BUT they don't slide down.

They sell the spaghetti strap tanks now with built in bras.. those never fit me right, but If I do wear spaghetti strap tank I usually cover with a cardigan.

Ive seen woman were the clear plastic strap type bra with those tanks.. but still not a fan.

I am not a fan of thin strapped tank top for the exact reason of the bra showing. If i have to wear one, I will wear a strapless bra. To me, there is no point of your bra strap showing when there are alternatives. Now a regular tank top, it is inevitable, your strap will slip & you will see it.

I do not wear the tanks with the thin straps, and the ones with the built in bras do not fit right... so I avoid those type of tops.

I don't wear them often, but I will every now and again, and my bra straps will probably show, it's inevitable. I have a good sized chest, so braless or strapless bra are not options. Even with a built-in bra, I'd need to wear a regular one too.

Re: Spaghetti strap tanks with a bra....

First I am not super busty so I can get away with a straples bra no problem BUT for those that cant I think it depends.

If it is a casual outfit...say your running errands...then I dont think it matters...but obviously for work or going out somewhere "nice" or something I'd say eh, maybe not the best look.

Although honestly it doesnt bother me too much, my friend is really busty and HAS to wear a bra with these tops and it always looks nice to me.

Re: Spaghetti strap tanks with a bra....

I voted inevitable because with spaghettie straps that's true. However, I'm not a fan of bra straps hanging out. I don't buy thin straps to prevent this from happening because I can't wear strapless bras.

Re: Spaghetti strap tanks with a bra....

I have a big chest so I always have to wear a bra. Tanks witht he bra built in do nto fit me right and strapless bras don't work well for me either, so I really don't have a choice. If I do wear a thin strapped tank top, I try to make sure my bra matches it. So if the tank top is black, I wear a black bra. Still not the best solution, but it is what it is.

For spaghetti straps--tacky. You can only wear those if you are small enoguth that one fo the tanks with a built in bra is enough support for you.
( Or no bra--if you can get away with it, but then you need to layer for nip protection.)
For me, it is not--I wear the thick strapped tanks, and my DH knows to signal me if my bra strap is showing. Chat Icon
