soy formula-yogurt question???
For those of you whose DC were on soy formula, did you have any problems when your baby started yogurt. Ryan is spits up frequently but has been better the last 4 weeks. We tried yogurt last week & he had a terrible week with spit-up & projectile vomitting. Could this be an allergy to milk??? Just wondering what your experiences were...

did you try the soy baby yogurt? That is what I used for my son when he had a milk allergy.

OMG yes !! I did the same thing 2 weeks ago !! I bought the banana yogurt baby food and dd puked the entire day !! I did.t remember that yogurt is dairy  All 3 of my dd's had milk allergies ,so no more yogurt

Ryan has never been tested for a milk allergy. Do you think I should ask my ped. about this. We have his 9 month check up this week. Do we go see an allergist for this. Is it a quick blood test?

I never went to the allergist ,but I would call the ped and set up an appointment with him to express your concerns and take it from there !! But for now try and stay away from dairy until you know definately what it is

I'd talk to your doctor about the vomitting. Doesn't sound right - sounds like an allergy. Both my boys were on non-mlik based formulas. When I tried regular yogurt, I saw mood changes/cranky. They are fine with soy yogurt though. When they hit 1 and I did milk transition, I found out for sure they have lactose issues. My oldest is 4 and still only eats soy yogurt.

First talk to your ped - He can probably recommend an allergist.
It's a skin prick test (doesn't hurt - they did it on me to show me). Followed by blood work.
