In general, mid-week are the days with the lowest airfares (Tues, Wed, sometimes Thur). Of course, anything can change in todays market, but that is the general rule of thumb.

I've gotten the best deals on SW just by booking far enough in advance that their internet-only specials are still available. I don't usually notice a mid-week drop with them.
