South Beach diet thread!!
I have been having way too much fun this summer and gained weight back that I have originally lost with South Beach. So it is back on the beach I go :)

Yes, it's def. hard, especially the first few days :)
Day 2: Sooo excited this morning! I just lost 2 lbs. I usually loose 2 the first day. Soo happy. 169 - 167lbs
Happy that I was able to refrain from 4 yummt desserts last night at work.
PS: I tried the new BLT salad from Wendy's last night for dinner and it was fantastic :)

I lost 1 overnight. I felt so hungry last night though. I'm going to OD on string cheese I just ate a huge can of tuna fish plain and hoping that sustains me for a little while.
What are each of your goals? I have 20lbs total to go which I hope to lose by 10/18. My shorter term goal is 10lbs by 9/28 so that I fit in my pants when I go back to work

LOL..I ate 3 low fat cheddar cheese sticks today as snacks..
Had some baked chicken breast and green beans for dinner.
My goal is to loose 40 lbs. I'd like to loose at least 20 by 10/3 when I go to Vegas.
Plan on doing South Beach for 2 weeks followed by a cleanse for a week.
So.. Hopefully from 169-155lbs on the 2 weeks of SB.
I'm sitting here at work chugging a 1.5 liter of water.

It is very similiar. It is Balancing the “right” fats and carbohydrates. Lean cuts of meat, poultry, fish, shellfish, eggs, and low-fat or fat-free cheese. A later phase includes most fruits, some breads and pastas, and brown rice. no refined grains, sweets, potatoes, and fruit.
The first phase is for 2 weeks :)

Just lost my first 5 lbs!!!!!!
Today is day 4 169-164lbs!!!!!

Today: ........162.5lbs
So that is a total of: 7 1/2 lbs in 5 days!!!!!\
I was nervous because I went out for a girls night last night because when you order food out, you never know how they prepare it. I have some chicken dish with veggies and it was fantastic!!
Now I am sitting here snacking on veggies and hummus :)
so happy that this diet comes through for me.
How is everyone else doing?

I didnt even make it a week without falling off the wagon I forgot that no fiber creates big problems for me and I was always too hungry I'm back on WW though and doing well this week!
Congrats on your 5 lbs I'm jealous

Ok, no more weigh ins this week due to the fact that AF came this morning and I know I usually gain a few pounds on it, so I do not want to discourage myself this week.
Going to try to stick out the remaining 9 days and just weigh myself at the end.
It's hard because seeing the weight loss on the scale every morning is what gives me the will power to contine.

Don't weigh in for a few days but keep going on the diet. I agree, I would hate to see a "false" weight gain and might get discouraged.
I've been following your posts---don't quit on me. I am getting ready to start up on Tuesday...I need to read your inspirational posts.

I am still with it. Went to a party yesterday and it was pretty hard since everyone was drinking and I wanted a beer sooo badly. There were snacks everywhere and Birthday cake...lol
I behaved and had a hotdog, salad and sausage and peppers.
I have another BBQ today and know I can do it!!!!
I keep repeating myself that "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"!!!
i need to be one hot mama in Vegas next month..lol

I just hardboiled a bunch of eggs for work. Have been "on track" since Friday. Going shopping today/ tomorrow. Must get ricotta cheese for ricotta creme.
I love this program - just have to get in the mindset.

I do enjoy the ricotta cremes..they are tasty. And I don't remember if it was you or not, Daryl, but the melted fudgesicle mixed with cool whip & peanut butter & then refrozen to be like ice cream is to die for!!

i'm kind of on it. started 4 wks ago but haven't been very disciplined. I lost 6 lbs in first two weeks (5 in week 1, 1 in week 2 b/c i cheated). Overall, i'm down 4lbs and need to get back on the wagon.
i don't think i'll revert to phase 1 again. I'm just planning on doing phase 2 until i reach my goal

Yes... I love the peanut butter fudgsicle dessert. I made it last night cause I have AF and have been craving something sweet all week./ Soo yummy!!
What kind of cool whip do you ladies buy? I bought the sugar free one assuming that is the correct one, I hope so...lol
Today starts day 10 for me. :) I will weigh in on the 14th day. It's been killing me not to weigh in but with AF, I know I am doing the right thing.
Yesterday I cut up red peppers with some hummus as a snack. I also put cream cheese and pimentos on celery which was real yummy. Also some cherry tomatoes which are a sweet snack.
I also bought this new snack that looks amazing in Walbaums: A prosciutto panino. It is prosciutto rooled in mozzarella!!
I'm sitting here snacking on muenster cheese..lol
