Sorry for all the questions

We are buying some items for my mother's house since she will be watching DD there. She naps most of the day in her swing. She will be 3 months 2/14. How long can they go in the swing and is it worth it to buy an extra swing for my mother's house? My mother bought a crib and will have a bouncy seat there. She likes to hang out in her swing too - I just want her to have a variety of things to do throughout the day but don't want to waste money on something that won't be used long.Chat Icon

Re: Sorry for all the questions

I stopped using the swing around 4 months since he only wanted to nap in there and not his crib.

My friend's kid will be 1 in late March and she still uses her swing.

A swing was my godsent with both of my boys... BUT!!! There are babys out there that don't like it.. So maybe you should wait until after your little one is born and then the choice!!!!!

Okay great - so we will buy it then. My mother probably will try not to use it since she thinks it shakes up her brain.Chat Icon

Do all of them go into sitting up position? We have the papasan cradle swing.

She is born <------ Chat Icon . And you will notice that all of her smiling pics I post...are in her swing lol. She LOVES it. It's my mother who hates it. I told her to call my doctor so he can tell her it won't shake up her brain!

Thanks. Tried that at my friend's house. Ava is a VERY picky girl. Sounds like Gillian has everything she needs!

I would look at Craigslist for a used one or consignment shops and spend the money on getting a Jumperoo. Molly LOVES hers and they an use it as they get older.

Re: Sorry for all the questions

If you bring her in the carseat, would it be worth it to get the graco swing thing for the car seat? (recently saw it at bru!) or what about a travel swing....dd is 4 months old and loves the fp travel aquarium swing (we have the papasan downstairs and the travel one upstairs!)...they don't make the aquarium one anywmore....but they have a new one that might take up less room!
