Sonogram this morning- Empty sac ***Update at bottom
I had my first sono since my IUI on 3/19 and all we could see is a black gestational sac. Is it still way too early to see anything like the yolk sac? I think the RE was hoping it to be a bigger size but not overly concerned.
Last Saturday bloodwork if this helps.
Progesterone 26.5
bHCG 201
More blood was drawn today.

Are you 5w 3d?
That's when I went for my sono and they told me all they were looking for was a sac and MAYBE they could see a yolk. Weren't concerned if just a sac (They saw neither bc it was ectopic)
Hoping your numbers are going up and they see what they need to at your next sono!

I don't even think it would be 5 weeks yet. Maybe just under 4? I'm clueless. iUI was on 3/19 .

The gestational sac appears on sono first. You can usually see it around 4-5 weeks and it just looks like a black circle.
Next, around 5 weeks, you can see the yolk sac which looks like a little white circle in the black circle.
Around 6 weeks is when you can usually see a fetal pole.

If your IUI was march 19th your dating would be 5w3d. In my experience, it is possible you could be a little early to see the yolk sac. They are repeating the sono in a week I am assuming?

your HCG is only 201? are you sure??? that sounds very low for 5w3d....looks like you are 1 week behind (based on the HCG)...
Also, you need at least 1000 HCG to see something on the sono (even if its only an empty sac)...at 201 you wouldn't be able to see anything else...
I would get another beta done and see if the numbers raise (they stop to double at this point but need to raise)...

Ahh then looks like you are 1-2 days behind (if you go by the HCG) which simply means you probably had a late implanter and if your numbers come back ok today, I wouldn't worry.....
sometimes those 1 or 2 days make a BIG difference and in that time you can go crazy lol....
