Sometimes it's good to be obsessive!
I just went to the OBGYN today.
Although she thought I was nuts (I brought all my FF charts in), she was able to see that my cycles are out of whack and that there really was no clear O on my last 2 cycles according to my temps.
She checked out my ovaries and they look great. In fact she said I had nice follicles (whatever that means). But she wants to test my hormones. If there is a problem she will treat it.
Bottom line---I could have gone on a year or more TTC and would never have known about any problem had I not temped and kept track of my cycles.
So despite what people say...it's good to really learn what's going on with your body, rather than winging it. You never know.
She told me to stop charting though...she doesn't want me to drive myself bonkers.
