Solid food feeding help
DS is 6.5 months old. I started him on cereal and fruit at 5 months and once he had all the fruits moved onto veggies. He had a hard time in the beginning but finally started opening his mouth to eat. But now the last 2 weeks he refuses to eat! The fruit in the am he will sometimes open his mouth for a few spoonfuls but that's it. Veggies in the evening he doesn't open at all. I sing, dance, put on baby Einstein, give him toys....I've tried everything. I need help! Any suggestions??

which veggies are you giving him? My DD loved sweet potatoes!
Maybe try stirring a little pureed fruit into his veggies?

I've given him sweet potatoes, carrots, peas and green beans. He did not like the green veggies, but he liked the carrots and sweet potatoes. But even for those he won't open his mouth now. I'm thinking he's not hungry when I feed him. Maybe I need to change his schedule

Just keep trying. As long as he is taking formula or bm, it's not a big deal if he doesn't have much solids.
DD started solids at 6 months and did great, she ate anything I offered. Then around 8 months she started refusing most meals. Eventually she started getting better but she still doesn't eat much now at almost 11 months.

8am 6oz bottle
930am cereal and fruit
12pm 6oz bottle
4 pm 6oz bottle
6pm cereal and veggie
8pm 6oz bottle
This morning o tried giving him his cereal before his Morning bottle but he was crying for his bottle so that didn't work!

Te ped wants me to start 3 meals a day and start yogurt and meat, but there is no way he's going to eat it! I want to get him eating 2 meals first!

could it be teething? I know that my DD refused food when she was teething and it always happened to be around dinner time.

My 9-month-old DD is doing the same thing right now, and she's teething. She used to love her food. She has always been terrible with bottles, but now she is sucking them down and not eating. She is driving me batty!

Also, kids (any age) go through times when they hate one thing and love it the next minute. I would just keep trying. There were days DS didn't eat. And as long as he was still drinking and wasn't losing weight I was not concerned.
