Soap residue on shower doors
Anyone know of a product... something that will remove the soap scum from shower doors??
i have tried Tilex, the bubble thingy, windex, CLR and Goo Gone
nothing makes it go away!!!
Any help appreciated

I had that problem when we moved into our house. I used a combination of Tilex, CLR and the bathroom magic eraser. It took a lot of muscle but they're finally clear.

I stopped using bar soap for this reason. We are an all liquid soap family now and it makes cleaning easier.
ETA: not really sure why that's the case but it has made a difference.

Its soo annoying - we just redid our bathroom and this is driving me crazy... it really makes it look ugly 
not to mention the time i have to spend scrubbing... I am about to go professional grade on these damn doors!
any other suggestions welcomed..

I keep a magic eraser in the shower and once a week I clean the doors with it while I am in the shower. Its get everything off... its amazing!!!!

I used to use CLR on the doors and they came out really clear. It also helps to squigee (sp?) the doors after you shower.

Easy-Off Oven Cleaner - but make sure you protect the metal finishes otherwise they will pit.
The trim, the hinges, the track, handles, whatever is chrome or nickel or rubbed bronze - tape it up or be extremely craeful around it with the oven cleaner.
I'd spray it onto a sponge and wipe, rather than spraying directly on the shower doors.

White vinegar.
Spray it on, then wipe away with a sponge.
You may have to repeat, and keep a window open. Stinks a bit.
Or, make a paste of baking soda and warm water. Using a sponge, scrub lightly and then rinse.
I don't like to use a lot of chemicals to clean so try to find the best natural alternatives.

I've tried everything listed in this tread including vinegar and nothing has worked. I am going to try the oven cleaner because i never tried that. we have the same issue. if I can't get them clean I think we will need new doors and they are only a few years old

my friends cleaning lady just uses dish soap. i have yet to try it, but her shower doors look awesome.

Bon Ami... it's old school...lol.
No chemicals/no fumes and cheap. About $1.29 a can, at most.
You can use it on glass doors, glass top stoves and even glass cookware that has burnt on residue. Use it in my tubs, sinks... anywhere I want a no scratch cleanser.
Some stores don't carry it in a conspicuous place. It's usually buried on the bottom shelf. The Stop and Shop by me has it. I buy 12 cans at a time and keep
it in my garage.
You can read the story on how they were green before "green" was even a movement.

Just wanted to add that once you get them clean I found that using one of those after shower sprays after every shower really helps! Right now I'm using the method brand and it's working!

Pretty much im organic. But sometimes i will use Lime Away for the glass doors. It works the best.
