so worried I'm not gonna know when labor strikes
I'm due tomorrow and have been having weird pangs and cr amps but nothing consisitent or strong.
I am so worried that I am not gonna know when I should call the doc and that I am gonna harm my little boy.
I know you are probably reading this rolling your eyes LOL but I can't help feeling this way.
Anyone felt this way before they gave birth?

YES! Even when I woke up in labor it took a little while for me to realize.
For me it was like the worst AF cramps that sort of came in spasms.

I was the same way! I ended up at the hospital too early because I was afraid I would not know when to go till it was too late. They felt like really, really bad AF cramps (for me) - and then I got back labor which was unmistakable.

For me it was easy...my water broke!!! But honestly, I didn't start feeling REAL labor pains until hours later. My water broke at 12:30 am and we went to the hospital @7:30 am...by then the contractions, while not too strong and very bareable (sp?) were about 4-5 minutes apart...even then I didn't deliver until 8:30 pm!! So 20 hours later...you will know when it is time, I was worried too. GOOD LUCK!!!

I felt the same way. And sure enough - I knew!! I woke up with cramps that were different that I was feeling - they felt like menstrual cramps. They were stronger and consistent. My water broke about an hour and a half later.

I was the same.
My water never broke either- he broke it at the hospital-so I never really had that moment where I was like WOW this is it!
I was having light contractions very inconsistant and irregular from Sunday night, into Monday, then Monday night.
ByTuesday early morning they were coming like 5 min apart so I called the service and the Dr on call told me to come into L&D to get checked- since she was there anyway to do some scheduled C's.
By the time I got there I was 4-5 cm and ready to be admitted!
I think you just need to time them- with one of those online timers- and keep track.
If you feel them getting closer together and more intense- then call.

I was the same way. I started to feel pain and my stomach was hard as a rock. I called the Dr. and he said if we feel it every 3-5minutes, go to L & D. I didn't know so I decided to go to the hospital. When we got there, the Dr. send us home because after checkin' I wasn't dilated. Went back home, contractions started to come closer and closer. Thought it was just me ! I finally went to L & D when I started to bleed.
