So who is running the NYC MARATHON??
I got a charity running spot and am sooo excited! I wanted to see if anyone got in through the lottery or qualified??

I am sitting this year out. I ran NYC in '06 and '08. It's an amazing experience, enjoy every moment...good luck!!

I didnt get the lottery either but I just found out I got Fred's Team (raising money for Sloan Kettering).
Anyway which training program are you following? I just ordered a book called "4 months to a 4 hour marathon"

I am not - decided to train for the Hamptons marathon though (Sept 26) instead.
Good luck!!! I am reading a book about it now (A race like no other)...very inspirational!

I am! I'm running on Team for Kids. Didn't make the lottery either. I'm following the intermediate Hal Higdon schedule. It is a lot of work...but I'm definitely excited!!

Awesome Congrats! How is fundraising?
I am doing one of the NYRR training schedules so far. I am doing about 20-22 miles a week right now!
