So what's your spin on this?
We have a weekly meeting in our group every Friday.
We had two people start w/in the last three weeks in my group, and I was responsible for the second-half of their training.
We're in our weekly meeting this past Friday, and our manager goes around the table to see what everyone has been doing, etc.
The new girl starts first and states: "I'm adjusting, catching on to things everyday, and Christine (me) gave me a great welcome package with notes that would've been helpful on day one, but whatever."
Now, I brushed it off, but when we left the meeting, another member of group (who I'm close friends with) said "Nice way of the new girl throwing you under the bus like that, eh?" I was happy to hear this, b/c at first I thought "it's only me." I was out on Monday, but when I came in yesterday, it was bought up by ANOTHER member of our team that I'm close with, stating "What's the beef w/the new girl? Why did she feel the need to do that in Friday's meeting?"
Now, I know for a fact that our manager rolled his eyes when she stated that b/c I was not responsible for her training, and I gave her my own personal notes, which I did not have to.
It's been bothering me for a few days now, and I don't know if I should say anything or just let it slide.
What do you think?

I would let it slide... what is saying something now, almost a week later, really going to do. If she throws you under again, THEN say something. Supid new girl!

for me, i would let it roll off UNTIL she does something similar again. then you know that she has a problem with you and is trying to show you up. until then, be the bigger person.

Let it slide and be the bigger person. If at this point, you say something, then you look like you've been harboring this for a week and really let her get to you. (Even if you have, which is understandable, do you really want her to know that?)
See how her attitude is going forward. Could be just an innocent stupid thing to say... could be resentment. See how it progresses.
ETA - At least it's good to know your coworkers noticed it and know you didn't do anything to deserve the comment.

I agree. It was a unprofessional, if not completely stupid move, on her part.
If you find yourself still angry about it, say something & try to clear the air before resentment builds.

Thank you ladies. I'm going to let it slide and be the bigger person.
We just had another little "tiff" and the other new person that started at the same time as her said "Don't bite the hand that feeds you" to her! My jaw just dropped b/c that's exactly how I feel!
Looks like she's going to be an "issue." Too bad she doesn't realize that I review her come year-end.

You should let this one go since the moment has already passed.
Personally I'd be tempted to beat her silly, but it seems like she shot herself in the foot with that stupid, ungrateful comment since your other coworkers are saying something to you.
ETA: You have to do her year end review?! Talk about poetic justice!! I'd love to see the look on her face when she learns that!!

correct me if i'm wrong... but (aside with agreeing with what others have said about being the bigger person) i picked up a little bit of a complaint to whoever was with her BEFORE you gave her the welcome packet.
had that person done a good job, or had you been first in her training process, it would have gone smoother for her.
or is it wishful thinking that this girl isn't an idiot??

I think its great that you are being the bigger person & letting this slide. This girl has obviosly started digging a hole for herself. She should be greatful that she has a person like you to train her.

That was the point, I took it the same way, that it was a complaint about the person that trained her beforehand, but I did her a favor and made copies of my personal notes. The other person did train her properly, but she felt it was necessary to throw us both under the bus.

She is really misguided. That she's new and speaking negatively about anyone or the training program is going to only bring herself down.
She really has gall and I know you don't deserve her miserable attitude.

Remember what she said but tuck it away and don't say or do anything until the time is right. If she continues with comments like that, she will either dig her own grave or your payback will be that much worse. If it has to wait for her year end review, so be it. I would not just blow it off but I would make sure to handle in a way that I don't get negative attention from it. Luckily, your co-workers are noticing it without you having to point it out. It was extremely rude of her.
