What is your story about the Easter Bunny...I need specifics. How does the Easter Bunny get in the house...is it through the chimney like Santa? Do you leave your colored eggs in the refrigerator for them to take out? Do you leave the eggs out for them to hide? Are all the candy & things in the basket from the Bunny? I usually do small things like books, bubbles, chalk etc . Did the Easter Bunny hide the eggs in the yard too? Also do you leave your empty baskets out the night before or does the bunny get them out?
I need answers for my kids and I honestly don’t remember from when I was growing up what I believed about the Easter Bunny!

The Easter bunny is a lot looser...I think you answer the questions with whatever works in your family.
Our bunny comes in the door, hides all the eggs, and the basket is from the bunny. We don’t give an Easter gift.
Our bunny only hides the plastic eggs—the real eggs get colored but not hidden.

We leave the empty basket out and the Bunny fills the basket. We only hide the plastic eggs in the house. We eat the colored eggs. My DD also likes to leave some carrots and water out for the Bunny.

I haven't had to answer these questions for DD yet, but when I was a kid, the Easter bunny came in through the door. We left eggs out for him to hide. And he was responsible for the entire Easter basket- candy, little gifts, and all.

ETA: We hid the real eggs that we dyed.

Easter bunny comes through the door. Everything in the basket is from him. We leave plastic eggs for him to hide because DD was with me when I bought them and she notices everything. Otherwise I probably would have said he brings the eggs, too. We’ll leave him carrots

I vividly remember being about 4 or 5 and my friends older brother INSISTING he’d seen the Easter bunny come in. Apparently he was about the size of Bugs, walked upright and was brown. And he wore a bowtie, obviously.

In our house the bunny hides plastic eggs all over the house. He always hides the baskets. Kids never asked how he gets in lol. But my daughter wants to leave lettucec and carrots this year.

The Bunny hides the plastic eggs only because he knows that the real eggs would go bad if left out for too long. He leaves their baskets on the credenza with a few things they might like and that's about it No big shenanigans here.

I thought I saw the Easter Bunny once too - except he was white with a bowtie lol.

I leave the plastic eggs out for him to hide - I told the kids I don't want him hiding our real eggs in case we can't find one...

He usually brings them a bucket or bag of small things. And a little bit of candy and fruit snacks. This year though I got these cool bags from Initials Inc.

Chat Icon My father forgot to hide the eggs one year and I woke up at like 6 AM all bummed. He said ti was too early and to go back to bed. So I went to bed, wide awake, and the "bunny" hid the eggs, noisily I might add. Once he was done he slammed the front door really loud so I knew he was finished. When I came out, my father had made big bunny footprints in "spilled baby powder" by the front door. I swore up and down that I saw him! And Easter was saved. Chat Icon Chat Icon

ETA: He was white, couldn't see the bowtie since he was hopping out the door. And big like Bugs bunny, too.

I grew up TERRIFIED of the Easter Bunny, I couldn't sleep the night before Easter, I would cry, shake, etc.

So my parents told me when I was 4 that there was no Easter Bunny. I never told my kids that the Easter Bunny brought baskets. They think its just a silly thing at the mall. They will eat chocolate no matter who brings it to them.

We leave empty baskets on our kitchen table and than The bunny fills them. The bunny brings plastic filled eggs and hides them. I guess the bunny comes in through the door. My kids never asked Chat Icon

We leave the baskets out and the Easter bunny fills them. Same with the plastic eggs, leave them out empty and he fills them and hides them. He also brings one toy for each child that he hides (not wrapped). This way I can keep the candy to a minimum. My kids don't wind up eating most of it anyway and then I do, and that's the last thing i need! He comes in through the front door. As of last year, we don't leave anything out for him.

My kids never got the whole Easter bunny thing.
I never mixed it up with santa.
Told them the bunny is the spirit of Easter... a mascot. They liked that explanation.
We hide eggs a few times and they ask for types of candy.

Re: So what’s the story with the Easter Bunny??

I used to just surprise DS in the morning with his basket. The Easter bunny brought everything while he was asleep (like Santa). DS found his basket in the closet this year, so I had to change the story a little bit. This year we'll leave it out for the Easter bunny to fill up. DS is still young so he won't remember the inconsistencies.

So what’s the story with the Easter Bunny??

My childhood was real eggs were hidden. Bunny came through front door. My mom always bought the store bought baskets and a chocolate bunny for me. I loved that damn bunny.

Since I remember the smell of lost eggs, dyed eggs go in the fridge with the intent of them being eaten. They are never eaten. Easter bunny hides plastic eggs. The baskets get left on the table and the Easter bunny stuffs them. Bunny comes through front door. 4 year old dd is obsessed with the bunny.

We don't do the Easter bunny, my older daughter knows it's just for fun for Easter and is a person in a costume. We dye eggs together and I hide them before the kids wake up Easter morning and I will put out their small baskets (which they know are from mom/dad)
