so what should we do at the walk-through
I'm figuring:
- turn on all appliances to make sure they work
- check all outlets
- try all light switches to make sure they work
- turn on all faucets, shower, and flush all toilets
- make sure no major damage to anything since we last saw the place
Anything else??

- check windows to make sure they open/shut OK (same with interior doors)

Make sure you go on a rainy day,and check the basement for flooding,and the roof for leaks.Good luck

Already did that - the inspection was the day right after a huge storm. 
It'd be way too late for that anyway - we close tomorrow! This is just the final walk-through.

mine is next thursday! I also thought to look and take pictures of the water, gas and electric meters so that you know what it was before you started using it and could prove it to the utility companies if they tried to over-charge you.
