So we put an offer on a house!
we saw a very pretty house today on an amazing property... the house is small, and eventually we'd probably put on another level but we are so excited!
We are still going to look on LI next week, but I don't think we are going to find anything like this out there...
Now we gotta wait for a counter and finish negotiating on our apartment. If we can get the house lowered to a certain point, we might be more flexible on the lowest we'd take for our current place.
I hope everything falls into place, but I am not holding my breath. Fingers crossed though!

yes-- in Rye Brook. It's a really beautiful area, a small-ish town with an amazing school district.
The property seriously looks like a B&B! The house is only 2000 sq feet, we wanted more-- but with the option to put another level on is worht it. We don;t need the space now-- but will later.
We submitted a formal offer today, in writing, since the seller had a previous offer fall through on someone who wasn't qualified. Once we know the numbers we are working with, we can potentially finalize the deal on our current place.
We are still looking on LI on Friday-- because everything takes time, but I think we'll be really happy here, and we didnt want to miss out on this house. We can always change our minds.
We shall see what happens!! I never would have imagined that things would happen so quickly... but I guess it always does in these instances!
