So these pogesterone suppositiories....
I think I am dreading these worse than any of the other stuff Ive had to do. They did not give me an applicator....
What are your experiences... any tricks?
I have to do them four times a day starting tomorrow.

I use Crinone gel for progesterone support after ovulation which comes in an applicator and is super easy to use. I don't know if this is an option for you.

Jen - are the suppositories in lieu of the PIO?
I'm HOPING they will let me use these, I'm haviing a hard time right now with my pre-retreival injections, and don't know how I'm going to handle 2+weeks of the PIO.

Mine come with an applicator, but sometimes it doesn't work, so not to be crude or anything, but I just shove it up there with my finger...

Yep... 3 days of PIO IM injections and then suppositories 4x's a day
My suppositories look like pills you would take my mouth....not the gel kind.

Mine also come with an application (I'm taking Endometrin). However, if it doesn't work, then I just stick it up there with my finger. Also, my suppositories are not gel, either. They're hard and white.
Make sure you have a panty liner or pad on. Leakage is the worst.

Same here. I was told the only reason they would switch me from the PIO injections would be if I was having a bad reaction to them, but they prefer them to the suppositiories. If I do get pg from the IVF, then I would need to stay on the PIO for another 2 weeks past the BFP

This is the the worst part beside the 2WW. I am using Endometrin this cycle and now have to do PIO with it!! The leakage is GROSS.. But, once again all GI motility has come to an incredible SLOW!!

At least you have the option of suppositories......my RE's office will only use the progesterone shot in the hiney.....

see I actually dont mind the shots at all and would rather 20 second of pain than dealing with shoving the suppositories up there four times a day!!
I guess each RE is different in what they want.
