So nauseous!

This is the first month of TTC and I have been having really severe nausea lately....and I keep thinking I may be pregnant. I will feel kinda dumb if I am not, b/c I am practically convinced of it. Its so hard not to get my hopes up.

The only reason I don't want to be pregnant is b/c I took sleeping pills this month. If anything happened b/c of this, I would never forgive myself. Chat Icon I am really nervous about this.

The best of luck to all of us who are TTC!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: So nauseous!

The sleeping pills shouldn't be a problem. You don't share a blood supply until about 5w. By then you just missed your AF. I know plenty of people who drank heavily right before they found out they were pg and thier babies were fine.Chat Icon

Re: So nauseous!

first off - welcome to the boards!!!

you shouldn't feel 'stupid' about feeling symptoms....a lot of us do this to ourselves every month. So far, for me - the last 2 months i've been 100% positive i was pregnant only to get af.

i have promised myself that i'm not going to freak out this month - but i know myself....and it'll happen regardless.

As nikki said though - you aren't sharing a bloodstream with the baby until 5 weeks out...so don't worry about the sleeping pills!

First off, welcome!

I wouldn't worry about the sleeping pills. I've heard that you don't share blood with the baby until about 5 weeks.

Nausea is very ambiguous and could be from many things, so I wouldn't get my hopes up TOO much with that - but hopefully it is indicative of a good thing for you! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Thanks!

As far as the nausea goes, I know i am getting my hopes up. But in addition to really really really wanting to be pregnant, I am hoping that I am pregnant b/c I dont want to be sick! DH and I are going on a Mediteranean cruise starting Friday! I would hate to be sick. Chat Icon
